Boggy, Coblynau

This is the Coblynau, a close kin to the Goblin themselves, but where the goblins live under ground and somewhat above ground, the Coblynaus went deep, real deep. They live in the Underealm (aka: Underdark, Utterdark) deep in the earth digging and mining, for it’s what they do. Maybe they’re making a city, who knows.
They are not violent at all and enjoy hard work mi9ning. They have been known to save other miners, usually Mountain Dwarves, Goblins and Gnomes, from cave ins. Many miners can hear them kinking deep in the caves.

Coblynaus are actual Goblinoids and not just a member of the Boggy family. As such they look like tiny one foot tall Goblins with bigger hands and feet and brown skin. Though they aren’t as intelligent as their larger mercantile cousins, they know enough not to trusty a goblin in a deal. Goblins have since tried to conquer the Coblynaus in order to get miners within their ranks but the Coblynaus are extremely elusive and Gnomes won’t have their bullying and usually defend Coblynaus against the Goblins. Coblynaus are most friendly with Kobolds and Gnomes, ironically, over most their Goblin and Boggy brethren. They are considered the underground hicks and bumpkins of the Boggy world.

Note: Coblynaus are technically a non-German version of the Kobold, but I thought their story was charming enough to keep them as a separate being very similar to Kobolds.
